Assassin's Creed Shadows has surpassed Odyssey to become the most played game in the series on Steam

The launch results of Assassin's Creed Shadows have already proved to be extremely successful: in just two days the Assassin's Creed Shadows already has more than two million players: launch figures surpass Origins and Odyssey, received excellent reviews from them, and earlier and critics praised the novelty from Ubisoft.
Last weekend the peak online Shadows in Steam became a record for the games of this franchise.
Here's What We Know
On 23 March, 64,825 Steam users were in the game at the same time, which brought Assassinʼs Creed Shadows to the first place among all games in the series.

The previous record holder was Assassinʼs Creed Odyssey (2018) with its 62,069 players.

The top most popular parts of Assassinʼs Creed on Steam
It is necessary to make a small clarification: the most successful part of Assassinʼs Creed is considered Valhalla, which was released in autumn 2020. But at that time Ubisoft changed its business strategy and released PC games only on EGS and Ubisoft Store. Valhalla didn't appear on Steam until December 2022 and its peak online was 15,000 people, as everyone who wanted to by then had purchased the game from other shops.
Fortunately, Ubisoft abandoned its failed idea and now all of its games are released on Steam at once.
Assassinʼs Creed Shadows is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Mac, and has been adapted for the Steam Deck handheld console and has an enhanced version for the PS5 Pro.
