Dragon Age: The Veilguard received a free expansion with weapons on PC

While BioWare is focusing on the development of the next Mass Effect instalment, the studio has released a free weapon pack for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The DLC called Rook's Weapons Appearance Pack is available to players who purchase and launch the game before 8 April 2025.

However, only owners of the PC version of the game can get the pack. Reddit users note that the DLC contains a set of Watchful weapons: a sword, shield, and hammer for warriors, a dagger and staff for mages, and a bow and saber for thieves. It is worth noting that the PlayStation 5 version has not yet received similar content.
What is even more interesting is that this content first appeared on Xbox Series back in January and now has been delayed to Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA's own platform.
Meanwhile, at GDC 2025, former Chief UX Designer Bruno Porrio spoke about the difficulties during the development of the game. He noted that the system of primers and detonators that has been used in BioWare games for more than a decade caused confusion among testers and players. As a result, the team had to revise and improve this mechanism.
