KREUGER100: Nordic Air Defence's new drone interceptor that sees drones even through clouds

The Swedish company Nordic Air Defence (NAD) has unveiled its newest development, the KREUGER100, a drone interceptor that claims to be a technological predator in the airspace. The novelty is a complete transition from heavy hardware to software solutions, which allows it to achieve impressive speeds and adaptability. This is not just another drone, but a whole new concept of mobile anti-drone defence.

The KREUGER100 is a dual-purpose platform, meaning it is equally effective in both military and civilian scenarios. In combat, this interceptor is capable of destroying high-flying reconnaissance drones, such as the Russian Orlan-10. Given that these UAVs are regularly used to adjust fire and gather intelligence, the emergence of such a tool could make a big difference on the battlefield.
But the KREUGER100 also has something to offer on the peaceful front: it can be used to protect strategic infrastructure, from nuclear power plants to airports and even ships. This is where the infrared tracking system comes into play, as it operates 24/7, is not afraid of clouds and darkness, and most importantly, allows for instant response.

Such solutions are particularly relevant against the backdrop of the growing threat of drones around the world, and the KREUGER100 is another step towards European strategic autonomy in the defence sector. NAD doesn't just catch trends, it seems, it hunts them.
