Chinese company Ayaneo has unveiled an updated version of the AM01S mini-PC, which was first announced in 2024 but never went on sale.

The new model has received a number of changes that will make it more attractive and functional.

Here's What We Know

The manufacturer said that instead of AMD Hawk Point processors, the updated Ayaneo AM01S will come with Strix Point chips (up to Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Zen 5) and integrated RDNA 3.5 graphics. Two SO-DIMM slots for DDR5-5600 RAM and two M.2 slots for 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSDs are provided.

The computer received an active cooling system and power consumption of 65W.

Unlike the previous model, the new version of AM01S has a functional 4″ touchscreen display instead of the bogus one. It can display information about CPU temperature, fan speed and other system information, as well as some widgets.

The mini-PC is equipped with USB4 (40Gbps), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10Gbps), USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0, LAN 2.5 GbE and 3.5mm ports.

The design of the device is inspired by computers from the 80s, it comes in the same colour and mimics the plastic of the time.

When the computer will go on sale and at what price is not yet known.
