Assassin's Creed Shadows overtakes Monster Hunter Wilds to become the biggest physical release of 2025 in the UK
Ubisoft can celebrate - their new open-world action game, Assassin's Creed Shadows, has become the biggest physical release in the UK this year. The game has confidently surpassed Monster Hunter Wilds in terms of the number of copies sold on physical media.
Here's What We Know
Journalist Christopher Dring said that Assassin's Creed Shadows not only surpassed Monster Hunter Wilds, but also sold more physical copies in the first week of sales than Star Wars Outlaws did in three months.
However, it is worth noting that Shadows' performance still lags behind the results of Assassin's Creed Valhalla 2020.
Assassin's Creed Shadows was released on 20 March 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game takes players to feudal Japan.
