FBI sets up task force to investigate Tesla attacks

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has set up a task force to search for criminals setting fire to Tesla cars and charging stations. These actions are considered "domestic terrorism", the New York Post reported.
Here's What We Know
According to the newspaper, the FBI has recorded 48 attacks on Tesla cars, dealerships and charging stations since the beginning of March. The bureau, in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies, is investigating at least 7 of them.
There are 10 people on the task force. They will be able to draw on ATF personnel - special agents and intelligence analysts from the Treasury Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as personnel from the FBI's Counterterrorism Division, including the Domestic Terrorism Operations Division and the Weapons of Mass Destruction Division.
ATF is also deploying personnel to local FBI field offices, starting with San Antonio, Texas, where Molotov cocktail attacks have occurred.
In addition, the FBI is investigating an anarchist blog and monitoring a mass protest called "Tesla Takedown" planned for 29 March calling for 500 demonstrations at Tesla showrooms and charging stations.
US President Donald Trump has previously promised a tough response to attacks on Tesla across the country. In particular, he suggested sending the perpetrators to serve 20-year sentences in a prison in El Salvador for deported gang members.
So far, three people have been arrested on charges of attacking Tesla cars and charging stations. US Attorney General Pam Bondi also called the cases "domestic terrorism" and stressed that the individuals could face up to 20 years in prison.
