Microsoft has begun testing a new Game Hub feature for Xbox consoles with Insider Skip Ahead members. This feature provides players with additional information about the game before it starts, but at the same time increases the number of times they have to press the A button to start. citeturn0search0

Here's What We Know

Game Hub adds an intermediate screen between selecting a game on the Home screen and actually starting it. This screen displays a list of friends who are playing the game, statistics on time spent playing the game, and progress on achievements. It also lists available add-ons and microtransactions, allowing you to quickly get acquainted with additional content.

While the new interface provides useful information, it also adds another press of the A button to launch the game, which may be inconvenient for some users. It's worth noting that when launching a game from a recently used app, the Game Hub side menu does not appear, which may indicate that the feature is still under development.

Currently, the feature is only available to a limited number of Xbox Insider Skip Ahead members, and the date of its widespread implementation is still unknown. Microsoft continues to improve the Xbox software, and this initiative is another step towards enhancing the user experience.
