Vivo confirms X200 Ultra launch in April: new camera and specs details

Vivo has confirmed that its new flagship smartphone, the X200 Ultra, will be released in April 2025.
Here's What We Know
The exact launch date has not yet been announced, but the company has already shared several important details about the device at the Boao Forum for Asia.
The exhibition was also important for vivo innovations, including mixed reality and discussion of 6G prospects.
One of the main novelties was the title of "Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia" for the X200 Ultra, which emphasises its importance for the company. The main focus of the device is on the camera, which is expected to be one of the key features. Although the company has not disclosed all the details, it is already known that the camera will have three modules, including a periscope lens (85 mm) with a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor.

The main camera has a 35mm lens, which is a rare solution for smartphones, and a 14mm ultra-wide lens. The main sensor is a 50 MP Sony LYT-818. In addition, the X200 Ultra is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, not the Dimensity 9400. There are rumours that vivo is working with Fujifilm and Zeiss to improve the camera.
According to the renders, the smartphone will have a large round camera module, and a touch-sensitive shutter button will be added for easier shooting.
In addition to X200 Ultra, X200s will be announced. However, both smartphones are likely to be exclusives for the Chinese market. The launch details are expected to be announced in the near future.
