Japanese shrine Watazumi, restored by Ghost of Tsushima fans, closed to tourists due to inappropriate behaviour of visitors

The Watazumi Shrine on the island of Tsushima has been forced to close its doors to tourists following a "serious and inexcusable act of disrespect" by foreign visitors. The incident took place on 23 March, and although details have not been disclosed, it is known that the shrine administration was forced to call the police due to vandalism and verbal abuse of staff.
Here's What We Know
The Watazumi Shrine became famous among gamers after fans of the Ghost of Tsushima game raised about 27 million yen (~179 thousand dollars) to restore its torii (ritual gate), which was destroyed by a typhoon. Ц
However, recent events have forced the shrine's management to restrict access to believers only. An official statement reads: "Those who consider this place a theme park or just a photogenic location are not believers."
And now it is not known when sane people will be able to visit this place again after the actions of inadequate people.
