Netflix has introduced HDR10+ support, a new quality standard for online cinemas

Streaming service Netflix has added support for the HDR10+ format, which improves picture quality through dynamic metadata.

Here's What We Know

The new format allows for more accurate detail in dark and light scenes, providing richer colours and contrast and reducing the graininess of video content.

To watch movies and shows in HDR10+, you need a Netflix Premium subscription and a device that supports the format.

Netflix plans to extend HDR10+ support to its entire catalogue of HDR content by the end of 2025, which is especially relevant for owners of Samsung TVs that are not equipped with Dolby Vision technology.
