Apple is preparing to release new charging cables under the Beats brand, as evidenced by preliminary product lists on store websites in Canada and Europe.

Here's What We Know

Three variants of 1.5 m cables are expected: USB-C to USB-C, USB-C to Lightning, and USB-C to USB-A. All of them will have a durable braided coating that prevents tangling and increases durability. The cables will also be available in three new colours: Bolt Black, Surge Stone and Rapid Red.

The cables will be sold individually and in sets of two.

According to the leaks, the USB-C to USB-C cable supports fast charging of up to 60W and provides data transfer at USB 2.0 speeds (up to 480Mbps). The manufacturer promises that the cables have undergone thousands of hours of testing, which guarantees their reliability and protection against wear and tear.

The cables are suitable for charging and synchronising Apple and Android devices, as well as Beats audio devices. They can be used to transfer data, work with CarPlay, and listen to audio while charging.

One of the websites listed the product on 24 March, while another indicates that the expected delivery date is 8 April. Apple has not yet made any official statements.

The expected price of the USB-C to USB-C cable is $24.95 CAD, which could mean a cost of less than $20 in the US.

Apple acquired Beats in 2014, in part to gain access to the technology of the Beats Music app. This helped the company launch Apple Music the following year. The corporation also became the owner of the popular Beats headphones and speakers line. Last year, Apple introduced the first Beats-branded iPhone cases, and now it seems that it is the turn of branded cables.
