Pillars of Eternity to celebrate 10th anniversary with introduction of turn-based combat mode

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the classic isometric RPG Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian Entertainment is preparing a major update that will add a turn-based combat mode to the game.
Here's What We Know
Obsidian plans to launch beta testing of the new mode later this year, involving players in the process of improving the mechanics. Details on how to participate in the testing will be announced in the near future.
It is worth noting that such a step is not new for the series: in 2019, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire received a turn-based combat mode that allowed players to choose between the classic real-time system with a pause and a new approach.
The update is expected to become available by the end of the year, so Pillars of Eternity fans will be able to dive back into their favourite world with new opportunities for tactical experiments.
