Neople Studio, the developer of the new Soulslike action RPG The First Berserker: Khazan, warns players about a potentially serious bug and offers a temporary solution while work on the fix continues.

Here's What We Know

Unfortunately, players will have to be careful due to a potentially troublesome bug that Neople has warned about in an update to the Khazan Steam page.

According to the warning, players who use the Primeval Regression Orb item with certain armour sets may lose characteristic points.

"Primeval Regression Orb" is a special item that resets a character's level. Level reset is a popular feature in RPGs that allows players to redistribute important character points and change their build.

The main problem with the Primeval Regression Orb bug in The First Berserker: Khazan is that players who level up while wearing pre-ordered armour and weapons may lose characterisation points.

The bug also causes problems with the incorrect display of characteristics on the screen, which affects the cost of upgrading them using the in-game resource "Lacrima".

In some cases, the characteristics may even fall below the minimum level of 10. According to Neople, the bug is related to the fact that the pre-order set (called "Hero's Weapons and Armour") gives a 5-point bonus to all characteristics when worn. Unfortunately, repeated use of the "Primeval Regression Orb" with the bonus active causes the game to misinterpret the player's characteristics, listing them lower than they should be.

Fortunately, Neople also provided a fairly accurate temporary solution and warned players to avoid using the Primeval Regression Orb quickly to avoid the bug. Neople suggested completing missions, moving to another area, and even restarting the game between using the Orb so that the game correctly calculates players' stats when they reset. In the meantime, Neople stated that it is working on the issue and will provide more details when they are ready.

We would like to remind you that The First Berserker: Khazan hasn 't been released yet, but it already has 95% positive feedback on Steam.

The First Berserker: Khazan goes into full release on 27 March 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
