Porsche will update the PCM system in the 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne models for the 2026 model year
Porsche has announced an update to its PCM (Porsche Communication Management) multimedia system for 2026 model year vehicles. The list of compatible models includes 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne.

The PCM system has been given more powerful hardware, making it more responsive. In addition to more processing power, it offers additional features such as direct access to a large number of third-party applications via the App Centre shop. In addition, the Porsche Connect package is now included as standard on the above models for a period of 10 years.
In addition to Porsche Voice Pilot, the Amazon Alexa voice assistant will also be available.
The service can be used, for example, to control smart home functions such as automatic garage doors or home lighting. Other typical Alexa functions include searching for information, creating and editing to-do and shopping lists, playing podcasts and music, or checking the latest news and weather. It can also be used to control media and third-party apps. Alexa is activated via the "Alexa" voice command, an individually customisable button or the corresponding "tile" in the PCM.
With the PCM update, Porsche is also improving the audio experience. Cars equipped with premium audio systems from Bose and Burmester have received support for Dolby Atmos immersive sound technology.
Individual audio tracks and sounds can be placed anywhere around the listener and "reproduced with unrivalled clarity, depth and precision".
The 2026 model year Porsche 911, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan are available to order now. They are expected to arrive in dealerships from late summer 2025.
