Lies of P: Overture will take 15-20 hours to complete: game director reveals important details about the ambitious add-on

The Game Developers Conference (GDC), a major annual event, has concluded and the gaming press has begun to publish the results of the talks with various developers and studio representatives.
Lies of P game director Choi Ji-won paid attention to the journalists and revealed important details of the Overture story add-on, which will be a prequel to the 2023 hardcore action game.
Here's What We Know
IGN, Eurogamer and GamesRadar+ portals shared their materials and we chose the most interesting theses from them.
- Experienced players will pass Overture in 15-20 hours (it's about half the duration of the original game).
- Access to Overture will open from chapter 9 of Lies of P.
- The original game had hidden hints about the story of the add-on and those who discovered them already have some idea of what awaits them.
- Overture will feature several unique weapons, some of which were previously shown in the trailers.
- The theme of the final Lies of P trailer will not be involved in the DLC.
- The developers treat the add-on as a "director's cut version of Lies of P". Usually this wording means an augmented and modified version of the film/game.
Only by getting an expansion will Lies of P be what it was originally intended to be. We just couldn't do it before.
As a reminder, in Lies of P: Overture players will witness the last peaceful days of the prosperous city of Krath on the eve of the bloody Puppet Rebellion.
Gamers are waiting for a brand new story, new enemies and a lot of secrets to be revealed.
When We Can Expect It
Lies of P: Overture is expected to release in summer 2025 on all platforms where the original game is available.
