Samsung releases stable update for Galaxy A16 with security patch for March 2025

Samsung is releasing a software update for the Galaxy A16 that includes the March 2025 security patch. This update makes the device more secure by fixing 58 vulnerabilities.
Here's What We Know
The patch is currently available for the international version of the Galaxy A16 with model number SM-A165F. The new software version is A165FXXS2AYB2. The update improves the security of the device by fixing the identified vulnerabilities.
How To Switch It On
To get the latest update on your Galaxy A16, go to Settings, Software update, Download and install. The update is also available for installation via a Windows PC using Odin, but it is recommended that you back up your data before using this method.
The Galaxy A16 will also receive an update to One UI 7.0 based on Android 15, which brings a refreshed interface, new features and improved performance. The update will be released from 7 April 2025. New and flagship models will receive it first, followed by older and more affordable devices.
In April, the flagships of the last two years will start receiving the update. The Galaxy S24, Fold 6 and Flip 6 will be the first to receive the stable version of the firmware, starting on 7 April.
Samsung describes One UI 7 as the "most personalised, intuitive and natural" interface, which includes new features such as Now Brief, Now Bar, Google Gemini integration, Sketch to Image and AI-powered search.
