Samsung has released the second beta version of One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones. The update brought a host of new features, including the ability to invoke Google Gemini using the side button, as well as bug fixes. However, users also encountered an issue: when using the Gemini Live feature and switching to the home screen, the system stops responding.

Here's What We Know

On the X platform, a user posted a video demonstrating the glitch. After exiting Gemini Live mode to the home screen, the One UI Launcher stops responding and a message appears that System UI is not responding. The only solution is to force close the app, after which the home screen restarts and starts working normally. It is reported that the problem does not occur when using Gemini without Live mode.

Our colleagues at Sammobile have also confirmed a bug that appears when interacting with apps on the home screen after using Gemini Live. Samsung has yet to release a fix for the issue, but users are hoping for a resolution soon.
