The iPhone 17 series smartphones will get the ability to record video in 8K resolution, according to an insider

Apple is planning to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September, which is rumoured to support 8K resolution video recording.
Here's What We Know
According to Chinese whistleblower Fixed Focus Digital, the iPhone 17 series smartphones will get support for 8K video recording, but he did not specify whether all models will get this support or only the Pro models.
Apple's smartphones currently support a maximum resolution of 4K at 120 frames per second, while competitors such as Samsung and Xiaomi have already introduced 8K technology. The new feature will allow Apple to improve video detail and quality, although the increased resolution will also affect file sizes.
In addition, according to the whistleblower, the design of the devices is expected to be updated: instead of titanium used in the iPhone 16, aluminium and glass will be used for the body of the iPhone 17. The exception will be the iPhone 17 Air - it is assumed that this ultra-thin smartphone will retain a titanium base.
Earlier, it was also reported that Apple is working on iOS 19, which will offer many changes, including a revamped interface and new icons. The firmware could be unveiled at the WWDC conference in June 2025.
