Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro receives 3C certification: 67W charging and new chipset
Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, which has been rumoured since December, has received certification from the Chinese regulator 3C, bringing the device's release closer. The model with the number 25067PYE3C supports 67W charging, but additional specifications have not yet been disclosed on the certification website.
Here's What We Know
According to information from a well-known insider at Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will receive a Qualcomm chipset with the SM8735 code, which is probably the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. If this is confirmed, the chipset will have one main Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.21 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.01 GHz, two A720 cores at 2.80 GHz, and two energy-efficient cores at 2.02 GHz. The graphics part will be handled by Adreno 825, but these details have not yet been officially confirmed.
As for other specifications, the Civi 5 Pro will reportedly be about 7 mm thick and will feature a 6000 mAh battery. This is a significant upgrade from the 4700mAh in the Civi 4 Pro. The camera will likely have a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The release time of the Civi 5 Pro has not yet been confirmed, but given that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is expected to be announced in April, Xiaomi may delay the phone's launch until the chipset is officially announced.
There is also a high probability that Xiaomi will introduce the Civi 5 Pro in the international market under the Xiaomi 15 Civi brand, as the device has already appeared in the IMEI database with two model numbers: 25067PYE3C for China and 25067PYE3I for India.
