Unusual folding smartphone Huawei Pura X goes on sale for the first time in China

Huawei has launched sales of its new foldable smartphone Pura X in China from 30 March 2025. This model features a side folding mechanism, unlike traditional vertical or horizontal folding phones.

The base version of the Pura X with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs 7,499 yuan, while the 512GB model retails for 7,999 yuan.
For those looking for a premium option, Huawei offers the Pura X Collector's Edition. It comes with 16GB of RAM, a leather cover in three colours, and satellite connectivity. This model is available in two variants:
- 512 GB of storage: RMB 8,999
- 1 TB of storage: RMB 9,999
Pura X is available for purchase via Huawei's official online platform in China.
