Apple plans to release a significantly updated MacBook Pro in 2026. This was reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.

Here's What We Know

The new product is expected to receive three important improvements: OLED display, thinner body, and a new M6 series chip.

The MacBook Pro will have an OLED display, just like the iPad Pro 2024. This will provide brighter images, better contrast, and more accurate colours. The Pro version will use Tandem OLED technology, which consists of two layers of RGB panels. This will improve brightness and extend the life of the display.

There may also be changes in the front camera: Apple may abandon the "bangs" in favour of a more compact hole.

Apple is working on reducing the thickness of the MacBook Pro. Details about the redesign are still scarce, but the company aims to make the laptop more portable while maintaining high performance.

Inside the MacBook Pro will be a new M6 chip, created on a 2-nm process from TSMC. This will bring significant performance and energy efficiency improvements. The range will include the M6, M6 Pro and M6 Max in 14-inch and 16-inch display versions.

The MacBook Pro 2026 is expected to be the most significant update to the line in recent years.

In 2024, the company introduced three new MacBook Pro models with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max processors. The computers are equipped with Thunderbolt 5 ports and come in black and grey. The laptops are equipped with 14 and 16-inch screens and integrated Apple Intelligence technology.
