Samsung will once again use Exynos chips in the Galaxy S26 series, according to insiders. After two generations of working exclusively on Snapdragon, the company plans to return its own processors.

Here's What We Know

In particular, we are talking about the Exynos 2600, which, according to a well-known insider, "will definitely be in the S26". However, there are questions about production volumes - Samsung is still improving the 2-nm process, and the number of chips may be limited.

This is reminiscent of the situation with the Exynos 990, which in 2020 was used for all Galaxy S20 and Note 20 models except for the US, Canada, and China markets. If Exynos 2600 volumes are indeed small, Samsung will probably repeat the Galaxy S22 strategy, where only certain regions received Snapdragon.

The most likely scenario is that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will get Snapdragon in all countries, and the base models will run on Exynos in most regions. However, these are just rumours for now, and Samsung may change its plans closer to the release.

Recently, it became known that Samsung is developing a smartphone with a screen that folds in both directions. The main feature of this device is the use of special layers that support a flexible screen. Patent images show that even when folded, the part of the display under the cameras remains open
