Insiders recently reported that Microsoft will be releasing Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Nintendo Switch 2 and possibly PlayStation 5.

This news delighted gamers, but now a nuance has come to light that may spoil the impression somewhat.

Here's What We Know

Tom Warren, editor-in-chief of The Verge, told Jez Corden in a new episode of The Xbox Two podcast that Halo: The Master Chief Collection may be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in a "stripped-down" form.

It's not entirely clear from his wording what he means, but there's speculation online that the collection may not include Halo: Combat Evolved, as Microsoft is rumoured to want to release a A reputable insider is convinced that a remake of the shooter Halo: Combat Evolved is in development and is sure that it will be presented to the public soon. But it can't be ruled out that technical difficulties are preventing the game from being ported.
