Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new budget smartphone, Poco C71, which will be presented on 4 April. Thanks to previous leaks about the European version of the Redmi A5, we know most of the device's characteristics, but the latest teaser reveals new details and differences between the models.

Here's What We Know

Poco C71 will have a 6.88-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and TÜV Rheinland certification (Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, Circadian), which makes it more comfortable for the eyes. The smartphone will be powered by Unisoc T7250 with two high-performance Cortex-A75 cores and six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores, and will be equipped with a 5200 mAh battery.

The 32MP main camera module will provide high-quality images, and 6GB of RAM will improve the overall performance of the device.

The Poco C71's appearance has also undergone changes: the back panel has a new "Split Grid" design, and the camera now has more pronounced gold accents. In addition, the smartphone will be presented in three new colours - Power Black, Cool Blue and Desert Gold.

One of the key differences between the models is the charging power. While the Redmi A5 is equipped with 18W charging, the Poco C71, according to the latest data, will receive 15W. It is not yet known whether this data applies only to the European market.

In addition to hardware changes, Xiaomi has officially confirmed software support for the device: The Poco C71 will receive two major versions of Android (starting with Android 15) and four years of security updates.
