Google will make it easier to securely move your passkeys to a new device

Google is working on introducing new features to Google Password Manager that will allow users to securely import and export access keys between devices and platforms.
Here's What We Know
Access keys are a modern and convenient authentication method that replaces traditional passwords. They use biometrics such as fingerprints or facial recognition to provide strong cryptographic protection.
A recent analysis of the Google Play Services version 25.13.31 APK file by Android Authority revealed lines of code indicating the development of tools for transferring access keys. These features include the ability to export keys from Google Password Manager and import them from other password managers. Google is also taking steps to test the security of services that support these features to prevent the use of untrusted applications.
While the exact launch date of the new tools is still unknown, their arrival promises to make the process of setting up and using access keys much easier.
