Ampler has unveiled the world's first electric bike that can be charged using a USB-C cable.

Here's What We Know

The German manufacturer will offer two models of the electric bike - Nova and Nova Pro.

Their main feature is that they are charged with a USB-C cable, but the charging power must be 140W. Moreover, for this purpose it is not necessary to use a branded adapter, which will cost €80, you can take any device of corresponding power. By the way, the adapter from Ampler is suitable for charging a smartphone, but it will be carried out at a power of 15 W.

The charging port is placed on the frame of the bike and there is also a small screen that will display the state of the battery. It will take about three hours to top up the battery to 100 per cent.

The bikes have been given a 250W motor and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 25km/h. The bikes are available in multiple colours.

The Nova and Nova Pro will cost €2990 and €3490 respectively in the European market.
