Details of the cancelled Disco Elysium spin-off: we were supposed to play as Kuno and Kunu in a 5 act story

ZA/UM Studio was working on a Disco Elysium spin-off codenamed X7, which was unfortunately cancelled in February 2024. Recently, details of this project have emerged, shedding light on what this game could have been like.
Here's What We Know
The project was called "Locust City - An Elysium Story" and offered players to take on the roles of Cuno and Cunoesse, two well-known characters from the original game.
The gameplay involved switching between these characters, each of whom had their own skills. Kuno, for example, had the skills Inland Empire and Scar Shield, while Cunoesse had Authority and Pursuit.
The game would also include the return of the "thought cabinet" system, where certain thoughts were unlocked through interactions between characters. The plot consisted of five acts focusing on Kuno and Kunu's journey after the murder, with several possible endings depending on the player's choices.
In February 2024, ZA/UM cancelled the development of X7 and laid off about 24 employees, which was about a quarter of the team. According to the studio's president Ed Tomaszewski, the project would have required another 1-2 years of development and significant resources, exceeding the scale of the original game.
