Prequel will get a sequel: Showtime has confirmed work on a second season of Dexter: Original Sin

Paramount+ and Showtime have confirmed that Dexter: Original Sin will get a sequel.
Here's What We Know
Recall, the show of the first season of "Original Sin" started on 13 December and by the finale attracted more than 2.5 million viewers. He received excellent reviews from critics, and the audience was satisfied with the story of the formation of a young serial killer Dexter.
Paramount+ and Showtime are already working on the second season, although filming has not yet begun and there is no information about the plot.
We should expect Patrick Gibson (young Dexter) and Christian Slater, the father of the aspiring killer, to return to starring roles.
Flashback
The events of the first season of Dexter: Original Sin unfold in Miami in 1991, when a young medical student has not yet become a serial killer, but already feels a craving for blood. He tries to learn how to control his inner demons, but his father, who is a police officer, realises that it is unlikely that his son will be able to cope with himself and instils in Dexter the code that he can only kill proven criminals and teaches him how not to get caught by the police.
A new TV series, Dexter : Resurrection , is also currently in the works.
