Back in 2020, Netflix and Ubisoft promised us streaming content based on Assassin's Creed, including a live-action series. Five years have passed, several new games have been released, and the series has not appeared. Has the project been quietly buried?

Here's What We Know

No, not quite. According to Game File, the series is still "actively" being developed. The head of Netflix's gaming division, Alain Taskan, said this in an interview with the publication. However, the details of the project remain extremely scarce.

The mysterious Assassin's Creed mobile game announced by Netflix and Ubisoft in 2022, about which we knew almost nothing, seems to have been cancelled.

This is not the first time that a Netflix Assassin's Creed project has failed to reach the audience. In 2017, an anime based on the game by Adi Shankar, the creator of the popular Castlevania series, was announced. Unfortunately, this project was not implemented either.
