Hyundai has unveiled an updated version of its futuristic electric sedan at the Seoul Mobility Show 2025 in Korea. The car still looks like a guest from the future, even though it has been on sale for three years.

Here's What We Know

The updated Ioniq 6 for the 2026 model year has received significant changes to its exterior styling. The most noticeable is the switch to "split" headlights, where the upper strip acts as daytime running lights, and the main headlights are "hidden" in the black section of the bumper.

The novelty is now available in N Line version (red car in the photo below) with more aggressive bumpers and two-colour design, which causes contradictory impressions. The rear end has become much cleaner - instead of a massive two-spoiler design, there is now a single aerodynamic element of the "duck tail" type.

Interestingly, Hyundai has decided to increase the number of physical buttons in the cabin, responding to the requests of customers who prefer traditional controls instead of touch controls. Additional buttons to the left of the cupholders and wireless charging pad have appeared on the lower centre console. At the same time, the individual climate control controls have been retained and their display has become slightly larger.

The company also promises improved interior trim materials and showed a new three-spoke steering wheel. In the Korean market, the car received optional cameras instead of side mirrors with additional screens at the corners of the front panel.

Specifications of the updated electric sedan have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to inherit improvements from the redesigned Ioniq 5, including upgrades to the sporty N-version.
