Capcom has released the first major update for Monster Hunter Wilds, adding new content and fixing numerous bugs.

Here's What We Know

The update, which became available on 4 April 2025, brings the new Mizutsune monster to the game for hunters with HR 21 and above. After completing an additional task with Mizutsune, players with HR 41+ will have access to its hardened version. Additionally, Zoh Shia is now available as a high-level monster with a storyline challenge that unlocks at HR 50. New story, side and side missions, as well as new weapons, armour and skills have been added. The armour upgrade limit has been increased for rarity 5 and above.

There is a new end location for gathering hunters - Grand Hub. It opens after completing the training task on HR 16 and includes features such as Barrel Bowling, Arena Quest Counter, Canteen, Arm Wrestling Barrel, and Diva's performances. It also adds new status diseases, voiceovers for Alma, new camp equipment options, and other cosmetic enhancements.

The update fixes various bugs, including progress locks in some missions, monster display issues, and game crashes. VRAM usage has been improved and the DirectStorage version has been updated for more stable performance on PC. Balance changes, including adjustments to Corrupted Mantle effects and improvements to other Mantle options.

This update is the first of many planned for Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom plans to continue supporting the game with new content and improvements in future updates.
