The Last of Us Part II Remastered finally launched on PC on 3 April, bringing the acclaimed action adventure of 2020 to a new platform. And the game is off to a good start with a new audience.

Here's What We Know

According to SteamDB, The Last of Us Part II Remastered peaked at 23,350 concurrent players on Steam on launch day on PC. These are not very surprising numbers, but they are likely to continue to grow during the first weekend of the game.

For comparison, The Last of Us Part I peaked at 36,496 simultaneous players on Steam. It will be interesting to see if its sequel can surpass this figure.

However, in one aspect, the second instalment has started much better - the reviews. At the time of writing, the remaster has received very positive feedback from users on Steam.

As a reminder, the 2.0 update for The Last of Us Part II Remastered wiped out the upgraded skills and weapons of Ellie and Abby for many players.

Also, the Roguelike mode No Return for The Last of Us Part II Remastered received a significant update with new characters, maps, and achievements.
