Samsung has started testing a new version of its proprietary One UI 7 on the Galaxy A55 smartphone. The beta testing programme has started in South Korea and users can join it via the Samsung Members app. This is the first mid-range smartphone to gain access to the One UI 7 beta testing, which is based on Android 15.

Here's What We Know

The One UI 7 update includes UI improvements such as redesigned app icons, a new home screen and shortcut bar design, and updated widgets. However, given the technical limitations of the Galaxy A55, some features available on the flagship devices may not be available for this one.

A stable version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy A55 will arrive in a few weeks, once bugs identified during testing are fixed. The beta testing programme will also be extended to other regions, including India and the UK. Users who want to test the update should connect their device to Wi-Fi to download the firmware.
