Nvidia, which is Nintendo's technology partner, has revealed important details about Switch 2.

Here's What We Know

Thanks to numerous leaks, it was known that Nintendo Switch 2 will get a state-of-the-art chip from Nvidia and now in a blog post, the company has confirmed this and revealed that the console's processor will be 10 times more powerful than the first Switch. It will be equipped with ray tracing cores and tensor cores for artificial intelligence. Thus, the American corporation confirmed that Switch 2 will offer AI-based DLSS scaling technology, which is very familiar to users of RTX series graphics cards.

AI features will be utilised in voice chat, such as active noise cancellation and sound filtering.

Also Nintendo Switch 2 will support G-Sync technology, which allows the implementation of variable picture refresh rates.

Nvidia reminded that in stationary mode the new console will provide a resolution of up to 4K, and in portable mode this value will not exceed 1080p. The console supports performance up to 120 FPS.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will go on sale on 5 June for $450 USD, with pre-orders starting on 8 April, but the option won't be available for US gamers just yet.
