Leak: Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 will be released immediately with One UI 8 on Android 16

Samsung plans to launch new foldable smartphones Galaxy Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7 with One UI 8 preinstalled on Android 16.
Here's What We Know
According to SamMobile's sources, this means that the One UI 8 update for other devices, including the Galaxy S25 series, may appear much earlier than expected.
This year, Galaxy users were disappointed with the pace of One UI 7 (Android 15) development, as the official release was one of the latest in recent years. In response to the criticism, Samsung seems to be changing its strategy and speeding up work on the next version of One UI.
Google is expected to release a stable version of Android 16 in June or July, after which Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 in just a few days or weeks. This will be the first time the company will introduce a new flagship line with the latest version of Android out of the box.
So far, Google has already released three beta versions of Android 16, and One UI 8 should include most of the key innovations. Samsung is also testing One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series, which may be the first smartphones to get access to the beta programme.
Android 16 will be presented at Google I/O 2025 on 20-21 May.
Recently, it became known that Android 16 may borrow the notification summary feature from Apple. Unlike Apple, which provides a summary of all notifications, Android will focus only on the summary of notifications from messengers. This includes notifications from apps like Google Messages, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Slack.
