Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition models will receive eight major Android updates, up to and including Android 23.

Here's What We Know

This is one more update than promised for the standard versions of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, which will receive seven updates (up to Android 22).

As stated on Samsung's official website, the Enterprise Edition traditionally has extended support - the company offers an additional year of software updates for flagship models in this variant. Samsung also guarantees that the Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition will receive security updates until January 2032.

This will make the Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition, S25+ Enterprise Edition and S25 Ultra Enterprise Edition the record holders for the longest software support among all smartphones in the world. This is more than Apple offers for iPhones or Google for Pixel smartphones.

The only question that may be of concern is how long the hardware, particularly the battery, will be able to perform consistently before this long period of updates is complete.

Recently, a well-known insider @chunvn8888 reported that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be officially unveiled in April, with sales starting in the middle of the month. According to preliminary data, the launch date is 15 April, although in some countries, such as South Korea, it could be 16 April due to time zone differences.
