Microsoft has released a demo of a single level of Quake II that was generated entirely by Muse AI

In February, Microsoft presented Muse AI - a generative AI model that will help in the development of new games and facilitate the porting of old ones to modern platforms.
At that time, the corporation limited itself to general theses, but now there is a demonstration of Muse AI capabilities in the network.
Here's What We Know
Microsoft released a demo of Quake II, generated by the AI.
Gamers are offered only one small level that runs at 640×360 resolution at 10 fps. Such Quake II is available for review on the Copilot website and runs in a browser.
This game does not engage the hardware capabilities of the computer, but is generated solely through AI, which has little use in the current design, but opens up huge opportunities for developers in the future.

Earlier, Xbox head Phil Spencer commented on the creation of Muse AI this way:
Imagine a world where, based on gameplay and video data, an AI model could learn from old games and port them to whatever platform they might work on. And Muse AI opens up a lot of possibilities for such work without having to run the original game engine on the original hardware.
Microsoft also stressed that Muse AI is not being built as a replacement for live employees, but is only meant to speed up and optimise their work and perform rapid playtesting.
