Here's What We Know
Now it becomes clear that the update will be much less radical.
In his weekly review, Gourmet said that the new iPhone 17 Pro will not have a "particularly bold new look". The front design will be almost identical to the iPhone 16 Pro, while the camera on the back will receive several significant changes.
Earlier, there were rumours about a possible reduction in the Dynamic Island notch, but according to the new information, this will not happen. Gurman also denied rumours of a two-tone back design, which appeared in some renders. In reality, the iPhone 17 Pro's camera will be the same colour as the back of the smartphone.
As for future changes, the journalist notes that much bolder innovations can be expected in 2027, when the 20th anniversary of the iPhone will be celebrated. Then a foldable iPhone and a new "bold" model for the Pro line may appear.
It is known that Apple is already working on new devices, including the iPad Pro with an M6 chip and its own 5G modem, the basic iPad 12 with an updated processor, and the MacBook Air with an M5 chip. According to insiders, the company plans to release an iPad Pro with its own modem in 2027. It is expected to be the Apple C2 modem, which will replace Qualcomm's in current models.
