Apple may delay launch of Smart Home Hub until 2026 due to Siri development issues - Bloomberg

Apple is likely to delay the launch of its long-awaited Smart Home Hub until 2026.
Here's What We Know
According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, plans to launch a new product this year were disrupted due to problems with the development of Siri and Apple Intelligence.
Due to technical difficulties with the development of Siri, the company is considering postponing the release of the device for several years.
Initially, Apple planned to release its Smart Home Hub by March 2025, but then delays were announced, and the product was not supposed to appear until April. Now, according to Gurman, the launch may be postponed until 2026, when the company hopes to complete work on an improved version of Siri.
This device was intended to become a competitor to such gadgets as Amazon's Echo Show and Google's Nest Hub. The Apple Smart Home Hub was supposed to have a 7-inch screen, a new operating system, and features that would allow the device to be integrated into the Apple ecosystem.
Despite these delays, the product is not expected to have a significant impact on the company's revenue.
The Apple Smart Home Hub will resemble a compact iPad with a screen and will allow users to control household appliances, make video calls and perform other functions. The device will also be equipped with the A18 chip. The new Siri capabilities are expected to be powered by Apple Intelligence technology and will require an iPhone 15 Pro or later.
