Recently, rumours about a possible film adaptation of the popular game Fortnite have emerged. Film industry insider Daniel "DanielRPK" Richtman claimed that after the success of films based on video games such as A Minecraft Movie and Super Mario Bros. Movie, studios are considering making a film based on Fortnite. However, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney categorically denied these claims with a single word: "Not true".

Here's What We Know

In his now-deleted tweet, Richtman noted that some studios had previously rejected the idea of creating a film based on Fortnite, but the success of recent video game adaptations could change their minds. Sweeney promptly responded to these statements by denying them. At the time of writing, Sweeney has not provided any further comment on the situation.

It is worth noting that A Minecraft Movie recently grossed $301 million at the global box office in its first weekend, setting a record for video game adaptations. Nevertheless, Epic Games currently has no plans to bring the Fortnite universe to the big screen. Although, of course, this may change over time.
