FromSoftware, known for its hits Bloodborne and Elden Ring, announced a new game The Duskbloods at Nintendo's presentation, which was associated with Bloodborne. However, there is a possibility that the game may leave Switch 2 at some point.

Here's What We Know

Initially announced as an exclusive for Switch 2, the game may appear on other platforms, such as PlayStation 5, as FromSoftware owns the intellectual property rights and independently publishes the game in Japan.

For example, Bloodborne is owned by Sony and FromSoftware can't do anything with the game until the Japanese giant asks for it.

The Duskbloods is a new PvPvE project from FromSoftware that has strong references to Bloodborne, including a gothic atmosphere and similar themes. The game was presented as a Switch 2 exclusive, but since FromSoftware retains the rights to the IP and is self-publishing the game in Japan, this opens up the possibility of a future port to other platforms.

Everything depends on the contract signed by FromSoftware and Nintendo. If it says about lifetime exclusivity, then we won't see the game anywhere else, but, for example, we already know that Hades 2 will be a temporary Switch 2 console exclusive, so it could be the same here.
