The premiere of the Minecraft film caused strong reactions in cinemas: viewers shouted "Chicken Jockey!", threw popcorn, and in some cases even had to call the police.

Here's What We Know

During the scene where the characters of Jack Black and Jason Momoa encounter the "chicken jockey" - a rare character in the game where a baby zombie rides a chicken - the hall exploded with shouts and applause. This scene has already gone viral on social media.

Some cinemas, such as Cineworld in Glasgow, warned visitors that they could be removed from the cinema for making excessive noise or using their phones during screenings. They urged viewers to respect others and report any disruptive behaviour to staff.

Some cinemas even reportedly had to call the police to remove viewers who had clearly gone overboard with a joke.

So sometimes, a seemingly funny trend with a film can get out of hand and interfere with everything else.

As a reminder, the Minecraft film is setting a record - it's the biggest box office launch among video game adaptations.
