We wrote that Bungie is preparing to show the gameplay of Marathon. The presentation will take place on April 12, but there is also news about a possible alpha test of the game.

Here's What We Know

Recently, it was reported that some lucky people may already be enjoying the alpha version of Marathon.

Eagle-eyed Reddit users have noticed that Marathon's Discord server has new channels for feedback and discussions about the alpha. There is also a section for reporting bugs in the alpha. This suggests that the team is preparing to launch the alpha test.

Given that Marathon has been in development for several years, it would be surprising if the game was not ready for a full playtest.

Also, some content creators have already played Marathon at Bungie's US office, so it would be great to launch the alpha to a wider audience.

Marathon is a relaunch of the famous first-person shooter, now in the format of a multiplayer action shooter. The game is set on the mysterious planet Tau Ceti IV, where players as "Rangers" - cybernetic mercenaries - explore the remains of a vanished colony in search of valuable loot, including new weapons and equipment.
