Miyazaki reassures fans: FromSoftware is not going to completely switch to online games and will continue to make story-based projects

After the announcement of the PvPvE game The Duskbloods, many wondered whether FromSoftware would change its creative direction. However, the studio's director Hidetaka Miyazaki was quick to assure fans that despite the experiments, the "soul" of FromSoftware will remain unchanged.
Here's What We Know
The new game presented at the Nintendo Direct is really different from previous projects of the studio, as it is multiplayer with a combination of player vs. player and player vs. bots battles.
Commenting on this approach to gameplay, Miyazaki said: "I have always found the PvPvE structure very interesting. It opens up a wide range of ideas for game design, and also allows us to use our experience to create challenging encounters with enemies."
However, despite these differences, the director emphasised that the studio is not going to change its development plans and deviate from the usual strategy: "As already mentioned, this is primarily a multiplayer game, but this does not mean that our company has decided to move to the online direction in future projects."
Miyazaki noted that the studio will continue to develop its single-player games.
We still intend to actively develop single-player games
The Duskbloods is a new PvPvE project from FromSoftware that has strong references to Bloodborne, including a gothic atmosphere and similar themes. The game was presented as an exclusive for Switch 2, but since FromSoftware retains the rights to the IP and self-published the game in Japan, it opens up the possibility of a future port to other platforms.
We would like to remind you that in theory, the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods can come to other platforms, and here is why.
