Nintendo has officially confirmed that the Switch 2 console will not have a general achievement system similar to that of the PlayStation and Xbox. Instead, the decision to implement achievements is left to the discretion of individual game developers.

Here's What We Know

For example, Ubisoft uses its own achievement system through Ubisoft Connect, but these achievements are not displayed in the player's profile on Nintendo.

It is worth noting that some Switch 2 games, including updated versions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, will have their own achievement tracking systems through the Zelda Notes app.

This service allows players to earn medals for various achievements, such as travelling long distances or collecting a significant amount of rupees, and compare their results with other players around the world.
