Britain and Australia start working on a modular plug-and-play missile

The UK and Australia have announced a partnership to develop a new generation of subsystems for a low-cost guided missile.
Here's What We Know
SHARKTOOTH is a small experimental missile with a modular plug-and-play design. It allows for the rapid integration of various components, including sensors, warheads, guidance systems, propulsion systems, and the latest control algorithms.
According to a representative of the UK's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), this cooperation is changing the very logic of complex weapons development - from standardised designs to systems that can be quickly adapted to different conditions and threats.
The partnership aims not only to accelerate development, but also to reduce technical risks, ensure interoperability between the two armies and create a framework for innovation, particularly in the areas of ammunition, engines, sensors and navigation systems.
