Google has started rolling out an April 2025 update for Pixel Watch that includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features.

Here's What We Know

This update is available for the original Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Watch 3. The update is based on Wear OS 5.1 and Android 15.

One of the key changes is that all six Pixel Watch models are now running on the same software version BP1A.250305.019.W7 after a previous phased release. Google has promised to address issues such as delayed notifications, and the April update aims to fix this.

The update may not appear automatically, but you can speed up the process by repeatedly tapping "Your watch is up to date" in Settings, System, System update.

In addition to bug fixes, the update introduces a new fraud detection feature for Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 owners. This feature is able to recognise suspicious activity and alert users when a potential fraudulent call is detected. However, this option currently only works with the Pixel 9.

Recently, new details about the cameras of the Google Pixel 10 series, which includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10 Pro XL models, have emerged. Although the main Pixel received several updates, these improvements did not affect the Pro and Fold versions. Renders of the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL showed that the design of these models has hardly changed from previous generations.
