Garmin is preparing to launch a new accessory for cyclists - the Varia Vue Camera Headlight, which combines a bright headlight and a 4K camera.

Here's What We Know

Although the official announcement has not yet taken place, the product has been mentioned in software updates and random lists, which has attracted the attention of users.

The first mention of the new accessory appeared in the updated Varia app (version 4.0.0), where it was noted that Varia Vue was supported in the app. In addition, the device was spotted on Amazon, although the page was quickly removed. However, thanks to this leak, many details became known.

The novelty is equipped with a 4K camera that allows you to record high-quality video while travelling. It also has a headlamp with up to 600 lumens that automatically adjusts the brightness according to lighting conditions. One of the key features is beam cut: the headlamp adjusts the direction of the light so as not to blind car drivers, which is important for road safety.

The Varia Vue Camera Headlight has an incident detection function that allows you to automatically record important moments, such as accidents or dangerous situations.

The device also has a hidden microphone for audio recording and Wi-Fi support, which allows you to store video and audio files in the cloud. The Varia Vue will connect to other Garmin products such as the Edge 1050 and RCT715 (camera radar).

The accessory has a long operating time (up to 7 hours on a single charge) and light weight (approximately 59 grams). However, the release date and price of the Garmin Varia Vue are still unknown.
