Samsung reveals ultra-efficient display for digital advertising that can run for up to 200 days without recharging

Samsung has introduced a new Color E-Paper screen (model EM32DX) that consumes almost zero power. The screen uses only 0.00W of power when displaying static colour images.
Here's What We Know
According to international standards, a device that consumes less than 0.005W is not considered a power consumer.
Samsung reports that when switching between colour images, the Color E-Paper also consumes much less power than other digital signage. The 4600 mAh internal battery can last up to 200 days on a single charge if the content is changed only once a day.
The screen has a 32-inch diagonal and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and its image resembles the texture of paper with smooth colour gradations and expressive shades.

In addition, the screen body is made from 50% recycled plastic.
The Color E-Paper supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, has a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, and 8 GB of internal storage. The device can be controlled via the Samsung E-Paper mobile app, available for Android 10 and iOS 15 and later. For even greater convenience, the screen is compatible with Samsung's VXT cloud platform for creating and managing content from a distance, and integrates with the Tizen Enterprise platform for enterprise solutions.
This new solution enables businesses, such as restaurants and shops, to save on energy consumption and printing costs for promotional materials.
