The platform combines advanced artificial intelligence models such as Imagen 3 for image generation, Veo 2 for video creation, Chirp for voiceovers and Lyria for background music. Users can perform the entire process in the Vertex AI Studio interface with no programming or editing skills.
First, an image is created using Imagen 3, which is then converted to video via Veo 2. This model allows for customisation of camera movement, frame rate and video duration. If unwanted elements appear in the video, they can be removed using the Magic Eraser function. Once the visual effects are complete, a voiceover is added using the Chirp model, and Lyria generates the musical accompaniment.
Vertex AI Media Studio provides access to Gemini models that process text, images and code to create a variety of output. The platform simplifies the content creation process by offering users a convenient way to create high-quality videos. However, the innovation raises questions about authenticity and liability when using AI. Google is banking on the technology's popularity among users with no editing experience.
